Nawaz holds Musharraf responsible for prevailing mess

President Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif has held former President, Pervez Musharraf responsible for the prevailing mess in the country including terrorism, price hike and loadshedding that has made the life of the commonman miserable.
"The menaces of terrorism, price hike, missing persons and loadshedding are the gifts of Musharraf regime to the countrymen," observed Nawaz Sharif while talking to mediamen here on Wednesday at the residence of PML-N central leader, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra.
He said due to wrong policies of the dictator who was not answerable to parliament, the nation is facing life threats in shape of bomb blasts, abnormal price hike and loadshedding. If the security measures of the country had been handled in parliament, Pakistan would not have been facing such a threat which it is confronted with due to wrong decisions of the past, Nawaz added.
He said drone attacks in tribal area are because of the permission given by Musharraf regime. Similarly, the issue of missing persons, especially in Baluchistan, is also the outcome of wrong policies of the last government. When asked as if PML-N is in government, would it change the policies on security, Nawaz Sharif we will take decisions, which suit our honour and integrity.
In response to a question about meeting between PPP leadership and PML (Q), Nawaz Sharif said the policy of crossing all limits of ethics in politics has always been rejected by the masses. Politicians must keep ethics top priority in politics otherwise they will lose the support of people, he added. The meeting between PPP-PML-N leadership will have no effect on PML-N in Punjab, he went on to say.
About Transparency International report regarding corruption in the country, Nawaz Sharif said government should take effective measures for curbing it. He also stressed upon the government to take measures for improving governance in the country.
Nawaz Sharif said after the passage of 18th amendment, great responsibility lies on the shoulder of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister, he added, should consider himself more responsible to the nation instead to his party leadership. He stressed upon the government to take measures, which ensure maintenance of sanctity of democracy in the country.
