'US will help Pakistan in revival of economy'

US Consul General William J Martin Friday said that the US will help Pakistan in its efforts for the revival of economy and textile sector. He was speaking at a dinner reception in his honour hosted by Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Federal Advisor on Textile.
Dr Baig in his welcome speech called the recent Pak-US Strategic Dialogue in Washington successful, which has given a new dimension to Pak-US relationship. He said that his meetings with the senior officials of United States Department of Trade Representative (USTR) Gail Strickler, and Paul W Jones, Deputy of Richard Holbrooke, were focused on supporting Pakistan Textile Industry.
He appreciated the efforts of USTR for arranging meetings of Top 100 US brands with Pakistan's leading textile exporters at Javits Centre, New York. Those who attended the meeting include Consuls General of Malaysia, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Indonesia, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Fouzia Wahab PPP Information Secretary, Shermila Farooqui PPP Information Secretary Sindh, Senator Gul Mohammad Lot, Nasir Schon, Asif Brohi of NBP, Jam Madad Ali, Yasin Malik, Saeed Uz Zaman Siddiqui Former Chief Justice and Mansha Churra Vice President FPCCI.-PR
