Sindh Assembly adopts two resolutions

The Sindh Assembly adopted two resolutions unanimously here on Monday. The resolutions were presented by PPP's member Assembly Ghulam Mujaddid Isran and Provincial Minister for Tourism Ms Shazia Marri. Presenting his resolution, Isran pointed out that LLM classes for law students were not being held in the colleges of upper Sindh, including those in Sukkur, Khairpur and Larkana.
He said that the law students were facing problems and they had to travel to Karachi for LLM classes. However, he said, the students again face problem due to special seats for LLM classes in S M Law College. He observed that the introduction of LLM classes in law colleges of upper Sindh will facilitate the students.
In the second resolution presented by Tourism Minister Shazia Marri, lawyer Ms Asma Jehangir was facilitated on her election as the president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). Other members of the Assembly including Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, Minister for Katchi Abadis Rafiq Engineer and MQM legislators also took part in the debate on the resolution and praised Ms Asma Jehangir on her election as the first woman president of the Supreme Court Bar.
