City Zone Police performance reviewed 72 outlaws nabbed, robbed money seized

During the on-going drive against outlaws and anti-social elements, City Zone of Islamabad Police in a month traced three blind murders and nabbed 72 accused involved in heinous crimes, recovering Rs 1.2 million from their possession.
During a monthly review meeting of the City Zone, held under SP City Haroon Joya, it was revealed that the City Zone has started weekly search operations in the vicinity of Bari Imam, Bhara Kahu and Saidpur village, which yielded success as over 50 persons have been arrested.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP City said the police officials responsible for delaying investigation of cases and keeping the case files pending would be punished and reprimanded. "Rights of the citizens would be protected and the criminals would be taken to task as per law," he said. Station House Officers of Aabpara, Kohsar, Bhara Kahu and Secretariat police stations attended the meeting. The meeting also reviewed the monthly progress of the City Zone besides discussing the overall performance.
The SP appreciated the performance of the respective police station and directed the concerned to continue search operation on a weekly basis to forestall any notorious designs. He asked them to effectively handle complaints and get feedback from the complainants about the efficacy of the police station staff.
In order to make the police officials accountable and keep a close contact with the community, the SP asked the SHOs to organise Open Kutchery in their areas as arranged in Bhara Kahu during October where the complaints of the citizens were heard.
During October, two new recreation rooms have also been set up in the City Zone, one each in Kohsar and Aabpara Police Station. Similar recreation rooms will also be set up in the remaining two police stations of the City Zone, the SP added.
The SP said the City Zone has also started hepatitis B and C screening of the police officials and in this regard bimonthly camps are being arranged. Two such camps were arranged in Kohsar and Secretariat in October. During the month, a total of 46 including POs and court absconders have been arrested while 13 cases were registered under the Arms Ordinance and 5-kg and 690gms of charas was also recovered. As many as 315 bottles and 28 cans of liquor were also recovered and cases were registered. Furthermore two dacoities have also been traced, one each in Bhara Kahu and Aabpara Police Stations.
As many as 175 complaints were disposed of. Action against two persons was taken u/s 182 PPC for registration of false FIRs. With regard to heinous crime, the City Zone Police traced three blind murders during October and arrested all the accused involved in these cases. The SP/City appreciated the performance of DSP Secretariat and his SHOs for working out these cases.
The SP City lauded the work of SHO Aabpara for his better challan percentage, effective action against POs and court absconders. The SHO Aabpara was declared SHO of the month and recommended for commendation certificate. He directed both DSPs and SHOs to effectively monitor the investigation process and clear the cases at the earliest.
