Capital police arrest 11 criminals

Islamabad Police have arrested eleven outlaws for their alleged involvement in various cases of dacoities, thefts, bootlegging, possessing illegal weapons and recovered stolen items worth Rs 25,000, besides recovering hashish, heroin, one pistol and seven rounds from their possession.
Islamabad Police have arrested eleven persons identified as Hanif, Lubna, Honey, Sonia, Najeebullah, Babar Maseeh, Javed, Mansha Maseeh, Asghar, Babar, Ansar Maseeh from various areas during different raids on Monday, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police.
He said that the SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has issued special directives to all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling in their respective jurisdictions to keep close eye on suspected people and on anti-social elements to curb anti-social activities.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) arranged special briefing for its staff to ensure success of the traffic education campaign to make citizens more responsible towards laws as well as maintain traffic discipline. SP Operations of ITP Farhat Abbass Kazmi breifed the staff as how to convince the pillion rider for using helmet and other road safety measures to avoid lane violation.
He also asked the staff for strict action against one wheeling, adding 192 motorbikes were impounded during this week in the joint operation of Islamabad Operational Police and Islamabad Traffic Police. The SP asked to adopt polite attitude with road users to convince them about the traffic rules. He said that soft attitude is only way to win public support and it should be followed by cops of ITP.
