SSGC forms CMC to respond to industries' queries

02 Nov, 2010

The management of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has formed a 3-member Crisis Management Cell (CMC) for responding to the queries of the industrial customers' related to gas supply. According to a press release issued here on Monday.
The urgent need for constituting this cell arose after the closure of Zamzama Gas Field for its Annual Turn Around (ATA) and provision of curtailed gas supplies to SSGC from other fields, which, in turn, has affected the otherwise uninterrupted gas supply to the industrial units.
The SSGC said that members of the senior management, including Salim Ahmed Mughal, Senior General Manager (Distribution), Shaukat Baloch, Senior General Manager (Transmission) and Zahid Mumtaz, Senior General Manager (Customer Services) will be available around-the-clock on their respective phones to respond to any related query from the industrial customers.
It must be mentioned here that SSGC has already requested all major industries directly as well as through their trade associations and bodies to voluntarily curtail their gas consumption by 20 percent to avert any major pressure drop.-PR
