Base metals prices edged higher on Tuesday, with copper up 0.2 percent, supported by a softer dollar and rising Chinese demand, but most investors were happy to sit on the fence ahead of US elections and a Federal Reserve meeting. Benchmark third-month Shanghai copper fell 210 yuan to 63,370 yuan.
