Multibillion dollars gold mine project: Balochistan's government asked not to involve foreign firms

Balochistan's Parliamentarians have urged that Balochistan government should carry out the multibillion dollars gold and mine 'Rekodiq' project without involving any foreign company. While talking to Business Recorder, Member National Assembly (MNA) Mir Ahmadan Khan Bugti said that Balochistan government had desired to execute the project.
"Central government should take Balochistan government on board while moving ahead on this project," Bugti said adding that people of Balochistan were leading a miserable life. Balochistan government has no sufficient budget and therefore, no enough work on development projects is being done.
Another parliamentarian from Balochistan Maulvi Asmatullah gave one point solution saying "Pakistan should not hand over its precocious assets to foreign companies." He stressed that Balochistan government should execute project. Mir Hymaun Aziz Kurd said that resources should be held by provinces, after 18th amendment.
