A delegation of APCNGA met with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Thursday. Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha was leading the delegation while Regional chairman Punjab Fiaz Gilani represented Punjab. Delegation informed Gilani about core issues being faced by Pakistan CNG industry in detail. The Prime Minister was told that CNG industry is suffering badly by worst loadshedding.
Low gas pressure shuts down the system too. Gilani was told that CNG is the fuel of the general public, but the gas tariff of CNG sector is the highest one and it should be lowered down and revised in accordance with the tariffs of other industries. He was told that another main problem is the double taxation system of FBR, which is unfair and it should be taken seriously.
It was noticed that there should be a system to dress various issues pertaining to routine problems. Prime Minister discussed all these issues in detail and passed immediate orders to the officials of MOP and gas companies. He also ordered the principal secretary to make sure the implementation of these orders.
Gilani ordered secretary petroleum to convene a meeting next Tuesday to resolve these issues as the earliest. Moreover, he ordered the officials of MOP to include two representatives from CNG sector in all relative departments for counselling and Cupertino. The delegation thanked the Prime Minister Gilani for his deep concern over their issues. While talking to newsmen after the meeting Fiaz Gilani told that it was quite prospective meeting and Prime Minister showed deep concern to our issues and he praised our role in the economy.
