Saudi Arabia's foreign minister says Riyadh has halted mediation efforts between the Afghan government and the Taliban because the fundamentalist movement has refused to break ties with al Qaeda. Prince Saud al-Faisal spoke Saturday after a meeting with his Italian counterpart.
