Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting here on Saturday to review progress on low-cost housing scheme 'Aashiana.' Chairman Punjab Land Development Company Sheikh Alauddin MPA, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Housing, Commissioner Lahore Division and Syed Maratab Ali were present.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the government is launching low-cost housing scheme for low-income groups so that their dream of having their own house could be materialised. He said that in the first phase sites have been identified for low-cost housing schemes while design of the houses has also been approved. He said that all basic facilities will be ensured in these schemes and a quota will also be reserved for widows, orphans and disabled people.
