Wapda edges out PAF 1-0 in Premier League

Wapda has on Sunday completed double over PAF in Pakistan Premier Football League at Railway Stadium, Lahore with 1-0 second leg win. It was another giant step for electricitymen in order to clinch the national title for the eighth time. The first leg last Tuesday saw Wapda winning 2-0 at Peshawar. It was 19th tie for both the teams with Wapda on 50 and PAF 28.
The second leg between Young Blood, Sahiwal and Navy also ended in 0-0 draw. The first leg ended in 1-1 draw on 29 October. Navy mustered 28 points in 19 outings, as compared to Blood's ten in same number of visits to pitch.
Sheikhupura-born Ghulam Abbas separated the Wapda and PAF with 6th minute goal. Qamar Zaman saw his attempt ricocheted into melee and Abbas took aerial ball into control and headed in past keeper Khalid Khan.
