Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) would not join Mutahida Muslim League (MML) but can enter into alliance with Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F). This was stated by Haleem Adil Sheikh, Secretary General PML-Q Sindh while talking to Business Recorder here on Monday.
Haleem Adil Sheikh said that PML-Q would never become part of MML, adding that Chaudhry Shujaat met Pir Sahib 20 days before the formation of MML and announced PML-Q merger with PML-F. Criticising PML Like-minded group he said that the group is not registered with Election Commission of Pakistan and part of PML-Q.
He said that the announcement of local bodies' elections in next six months by President Zardari is nothing but a move to divert people's attention from corruption and other burning issues. He added that PPP had never conducted local bodies' elections before and would never do in future.
Sheikh said inflation is at its peak and prices have increased by 300 percent and the people are recalling PML-Q government. He added that PML-Q is ready to join hands with PPP if they expel "black sheep" and NAB-affected people from the party.
He urged the government to provide relief to the flood-affected people. Shaikh claimed that in next general elections PML-Q would replace Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in centre and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) in Punjab. He said that PML-Q doors are always open for anyone for the sake of betterment of Pakistan.
Regarding the ongoing debate about mid term elections he said that mid term elections are not solution to the problems. To a question about All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) he said APML is a gone case. He said that Pervaiz Musharraf made a big mistake by launching political party as a retired Army officer and a lawyer cannot run a political party.
