Jazba Foundation in collaboration with Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on Wednesday distributed sewing machines, computers and beauty parlor's items among the talented deserving 30 women to enable them to earn their livelihood in a dignified manner.
The Foundation's President, former Governor Punjab Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) distributed gifts to the poor and skilled women workers under the "Women Entrepreneurship Program". The Foundation Vice President Muhammad Ramzan Sheikh, Pervaiz Qureshi and Joint Secretary Waryam Ali were also present there along with various donors.
Under the program, 30 needy women were provided with items to initiate their own business, which includes sewing machines with electronic motors, embroidery and other machines.
Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Maqbool said these women are real fighters and would provide the nation with much talented individuals. Jazba Foundation was initially created to provide assistance and relief to the large number of people displaced from the northern parts of the country, he added. We have also planned to construct schools, hospitals and houses in Charsada, he said and added that because of generous support of the donors, the Foundation was enabled to generate Rs 35 million in just 3 years span.
