Germany donates 24 ambulances for relief work

German Ministry of Defence has donated 24 ambulances and medical equipment to Pakistan Army for relief work out of the total 12 ambulances are being shipped on Wednesday, whereas the remaining 12 will be shipped on completion of refurbishment work.
Earlier, in a ceremony held at the premises of Refurbishing Company, MWBF at Langen near Bremerhaven, keys of the ambulances were handed over to the Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, Shahid Ahmed Kamal. Pakistan's Defence Attache to Germany, Brigadier Raja Rizwan Ali Haider signed donation documents of vehicles on behalf of Pak Embassy and Pak Ministry of Defence. Representatives of German Ministry of Defence and MWBF were also present on the occasion.
Thorsten Zerbe, German Defence Ministry's representative appreciated the role of Pak Army during the rescue and relief operation in the wake of recent devastating floods. He said that provision of these ambulances would certainly augment Pak Army's efforts to save lives of many people.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, Shahid A. Kamal thanked the German Ministry of Defence for donating ambulances for relief activities. He said that the government and people of Pakistan would never forget the support and co-operation extended by the people and government of Germany at this hour of need.-PR
