Congo virus: directives issued for taking measures to protect cattle markets

Administrator Karachi, Fazlur Rehman has issued directives for taking preventive measures to protect all six designated cattle markets in Karachi from Congo Virus. He further directed all concerned department of city government to immediately establish camp office in all cattle markets and depute veterinary doctors and staff in these offices.
Executive Director Veterinary, Rasheed Jamal has also been directed to personally visit the cattle markets to review arrangements and submit report within 24 hours. Meanwhile complying with the directive of the administrator, the Veterinary Services Department has already started anti-Congo virus campaign in all six designated cattle markets and the doctors were also deputed.
The Veterinary Department has also formed a mobile team, which will visit various areas of the city and its report will be delivered to Executive Director Veterinary daily. A special control Centre has also been set up in Civic Centre for registration of complaints.-PR
