Flood-hit people of Swat: 'Army engaged in rehabilitation'

Armed forces are actively engaged in the rehabilitation of the people of Swat affected by flood and terrorism. Earlier, Pakistan Army eliminated the area from the terrorists and now army is actively participating in various welfare activities to improve the life standard of the inhabitants of Swat.
The role of the Army is being admired at national and international level. POF administration is resolved to lend a hand Pakistan Army in these welfare activities. POF employees always participates in relief activities with enthusiasm on the eve of natural calamities took place in the country in the past.
On the special instructions of Chairman POF Board, Lieutenant General Shujaat Zamir Dar, a POF delegation consisting of representatives of various organisations of POF departed for Swat help the Army in the relief activities and get first hand knowledge of the requirement of the area.
The delegation includes a psychiatrist, educationist, teacher for special children, doctors, sports coaches and Secy Ordnance Club. On the directives of Chairman POF Board, 300 Eid gifts packs containing each Chocolate, color books, pencils, rubber, sharpener, tennis ball and bangles for girls have been dispatched along with the team and will be handed over to the Army for distribution among the children. Welfare Department of POF has dispatched edible items for the affected people of the area, which will be distributed through Pakistan Army.
Earlier, a cheque of Rs 5 million donated by POF employees was deposited in the Army relief fund. Wah Medical College will arrange medical Camps, free eye camps and will impart health education to children in school on personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, prevention of accidents, how to survive in earthquake and polio immunisation to children.-PR
