Shaheed Fazil Rahu Hospital: BPP donates medical equipment

As the part of its community investment programme, the BP Pakistan (BPP) has donated much needed medical equipment and furniture, worth Rs 2.4 million to Government Taluka Hospital Shaheed Fazil Rahu in District Badin.
Addressing the handing over ceremony held at the Facility on Thursday Shaz Muneer said that BPP received the request for provision of medical equipment and furniture directly from the hospital's staff and agreed to provide these items in the interest of common man and added that these equipment and furniture provided will certainly help in improving the medical services to the people of the area.
He further said that BPP as a responsible corporate citizen is committed to the welfare of the communities in its concession areas. Through its social investment programme, the company has supported numerous initiatives in district Badin in health, education, income generation and technical training. The projects include the Kario Medical Centre, Matli Girls College, Traditional Birth Attendants' training at Matli and Golarchi and Thalassaemia Care Centre amongst many others. Both the higher secondary schools for girls in district Badin at Talhar and Golarchi have also been constructed by BPP.
He further informed that earlier this year BPP extended tremendous support towards the flood affected communities in districts Badin, Thatta, Tando Muhammad Khan and Matiari by providing ration, ready to eat food items, medicines and tents. Moreover, furniture was provided to two Government Primary Schools of UC Khore Wah. Such projects highlight BPP's commitments to the people of Badin and other concession districts.
The EDO Health Badin said that currently this hospital provides 24 hours' operational medical facilities, which treat around 300 OPD and over 10 indoor patients per day. Complete staff is available for round the clock medical services.
