Dabeer Hashmi, in his letter, 'Electricity crisis' in Business Recorder of November 13, while lamenting about loadshedding, has said, "Almighty Allah has given us each and everything of our need. He keeps on bestowing upon us and we keep on wasting and misusing."
Allow me to add that Allah has bestowed us with mighty rivers having a potential for 40,000 megawatts of cheap and clean energy, which will also give us water. But we are blindly opting for expensive and polluting thermal power, which also will not give us any water, neither will nuclear, solar or wind.
