A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Tuesday directed services hospital medical superintendent to constitute a seven-member medical board and hold medical examination of Sheikh Afzal of Haris Steels Mills, an accused in Bank of Punjab loan scam.
The bench headed by Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry also directed the services hospital MS to report within two weeks after getting the medical check-up of the petitioner. Barrister Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan represented the accused before the bench and said the NAB authorities was not allowing him to get his medical check-up. Aitzaz said his client was a patient of diabetes and suffering from a bad health in jail. He sought court's directions for the authorities concerned to hold medical examination of his client.
