Compensation to Airblue crash victims

17 Nov, 2010

The families of Airblue crash victims should be provided adequate compensation by the airline in accordance with international laws. It is imperative for the government, in particular the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority and the Defence Minister, to take immediate measures to redress the demands of 152 affected families. I stress upon the formulation of SOP (standard operating procedures) to deal with any incident of this nature in future.
The airline is required to pay compensation at the earliest to the affected families under existing international conventions. The grieving families have faced considerable difficulties after the crash and should not be made to suffer any further.
