The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is striving for the promotion of quality education besides providing 'students friendly schooling' to the students who mostly belong to poor strata. This was stated by PEF Chairman Raja Anwar while presiding over a meeting with educationists, partner school administrators and school education officials, disclosed an official here on Friday.
Representatives of Punjab Education Foundation were also present on this occasion. He also said likewise, corporal punishment is strictly banned in partner schools and in these schools subject specialists for science and English subjects and library books are provided by the PEF to help improve the standard of education. According to him, revamping of Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) is on the cards and the teachers training manual has been improved to cater to the needs of quality education.
