Director General Hajj Sultan Shah said on Saturday that there was no mismanagement in the arrangements made by Pakistan authorities for Hujjaj. Talking to a private news channel he said the arrangements in newly established five 'Maktabs' dedicated to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims could not be finalised in time due to which problems were confronted by the pilgrims particularly in Mina.
He informed that these 'Maktabs' had to be shifted to a new place due to unavoidable circumstances.
He further said, provision of facilities in 'Maktabs' in Mina was not responsibility of the Pakistani authorities rather it was responsibility of 'Muasasa' for South Asia. The DG said, the issue had already been taken up with the authorities concerned so that the Hujjaj could be compensated properly. To a question he said, all the other arrangements, including residences made by Pakistan Hajj Mission for Pakistani Hujjaj in Makkah Mukarma and Madina Munawara were satisfactory. He said, provision of tents in Mina was neither responsibility of the government of Pakistan nor a private firm rather, the arrangements were completed by Saudi authorities.
