Pak-US relations to improve further: Kaira

Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has on Saturday said that Pak-US relations would further improve with the delivery of more F-16 fighter planes to Pakistan. He also said $2 billion military aid and US $7.5 billion aid for uplifting of social sector reflects that both countries are enjoying cordial and strong relations.
"The US aid to Pakistan is a positive step towards cementing relations between the two countries and it would expedite development process in the country and would have a positive impact on various sectors," he added. According to him, official visit of the US president to Pakistan next year would further strengthen Pak-US friendship; Pakistan is a trustworthy friend and ally of US. The US has shown its confidence in the democratic system and its credit goes to the present democratic government.
He also demanded that the US government should focus on ground realties and thus Pakistani traders should be given access by US markets. He also hoped that promises of Friends of Democratic Pakistan would soon be fulfilled and Pakistan's economy would be put on the right track.
