Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has not been doing that well career-wise, after his last movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ opposite Katrina Kaif flopped miserably at the box-office and now the ‘Rockstar’ actor has decided to steer away from that particular genre.
Ranbir, who is currently preparing for his next movie Dharma Production’s ‘Brahmastra’ with Alia Bhatt, has willingly given up the romantic-comedy genre after his recent failure. The actor’s next big movie is on Sanjay Dutt’s biopic followed by ‘Brahmastra’.
Why is Rishi Kapoor upset with son Ranbir?
“The failure of 'Jagga Jasoos' has impacted Ranbir a lot,” Indian media reported. “He understands that he needs to do a variety of characters now, before people stop offering him such roles. He’s still a big star and has a strong box office appeal, apart from having brand value among corporate. The rushes of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dutt biopic are superb and Ranbir now realizes that he needs to change his route quickly,” Deccan Chronicles reported.
Recently the ‘Wake up Sid’ actor was offered two romantic movies with apparently interesting scripts but Ranbir downright rejected the films saying that right now he’s not interested in doing romantic movies.
