PPP workers' convention held

The Pakistan peoples Party (PPP) workers convention held here which was presided over by Raja Riaz Ahmed, Senior Punjab Minister. The convention decided that the PPP high command would be approached not to issue party ticket to the sitting MNA from Faisalabad, Ejaz Ahmed Virk and some other ticket holders in future as they had disappointed the workers.
Addressing the convention, Raja Riaz Ahmed, asked the party workers to prepare themselves for the ensuing local bodies elections and recommend the nomination of those who strictly adhere to the party discipline and dedicatedly work for welfare of the masses. He said that PPP had deep roots in masses and it would surely sweep polls during the local bodies elections and the next general elections. He said that PPP had come to power with clear-cut majority mandate of the voters and it would complete its five years tenure. He advised the PPP workers to remain united and frustrate the evil designs of those engaged in negative activities against PPP.
PPP local leaders Farooq Ahmed, President, People's Lawyers Forum, Zubaida Malik, Zaibun Nisa, Saima Chaudhry, Naeem Dastgir, Yousaf Minhas and Ehsan-ul-Haq also addressed the convention.
