Capital police foil massive terror plan bid: huge explosive cache seized, three including a woman held

Islamabad Police foiled a massive terror plan by seizing a huge cache of explosive from a vehicle coming to Islamabad from Peshawar, besides arresting three alleged terrorists including a woman. Islamabad Police received information that a vehicle is coming to Islamabad carrying huge quantity of explosive and on the tip off, DIG Operations Bani Ameen and SSP Tahir Alam Khan announced a general hold up in the capital and started checking of vehicles.
During the course of search at a special check point at Toll Plaza of IJP Road, a Toyota Hi-ace wagon No 1784-Swabi was stopped from which seven cartons of explosive materials weighing 130 kilograms were recovered. Bomb Disposal Squad was called to check if there is any live explosive in the seized cartons. Police arrested three persons including a lady who were identified Nawab Khan son of Sabz Ali, Ismael Khan son of Dost Muhammad and Amtari Bibi wife of Hazrat Hussain.
All detained persons hailing from Peshawar and have confessed their involvement in transportation of explosive. The spokesman of Islamabad Police confirmed the seizure of 130 kilogram explosive and arrest of three persons including a woman. He said that the detained woman, Amtari Bibi has admitted that she transported explosive for money in past as well. The case has been registered against the detainees at Sabzi Mandi Police Station under Anti-Terrorist Act, Explosive Act. They were presented in the court, which granted them two-day physical remand.
