The 6th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) was chaired by Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, in his capacity as the Vice Chairman of the Board, in the Establishment Division.
The meeting was also attended by Syed Fakhar Imam, (Member Board of Governors), Dr Hafiz A. Pasha, (Member BoG), Salman Siddique Secretary, Finance Division, (member of BoG), Muhammad Ismail Qureshi member BoG and Secretary, Establishment Division, Rahat-Ul-Ain (Acting Rector NSPP).
The School exits since 2002 with the charter to revamp the training system of civil service training institutions. It is the premier training institution for the capacity building of public servants at all levels from grade 17 to grade 20.
In the last meeting of the BoG, a Sub-Committee under the chairmanship of Salman Siddique was constituted to lay down criteria for selecting suitable Rector for the NSPP upon retirement of Lieutenant General Javed Hassan (Retd) on November 20, which was unanimously approved with some modifications in Tuesday meeting. The board also constituted a Sub-committee under the chairmanship of Dr Hafeez A. Pasha, Salman Siddique and Muhammad Ismail Qureshi, Secretary Establishment Division being members to suggest strategic direction of the NSPP.-PR
