Joost Reintjes, Ambassador of the Netherlands in Pakistan called on Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar here on Tuesday. The Minister briefed the envoy about the various initiatives taken by the government for the facilitation and welfare of overseas Pakistanis and highlighted its efforts in the fight against terrorism.
He said that the world community should assist Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and extremism. The ambassador briefed the minister about various initiatives launched by the Government of Netherlands for the overseas Pakistanis, commending the constructive role of the overseas Pakistanis in different sectors of life in Netherlands, besides appreciating the role of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. The Minister said that there is a need to enhance people-to-people contacts and widen the scope of bilateral ties between Netherlands and Pakistan to various fields of life.-PR
