Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) has announced new schedule of gas load management for industrial sector and CNG stations on Tuesday. According to the fresh announcement the gas supply to industrial sector of Lahore, Sheikhupura and Sahiwal region will be stopped at 6 am on November 29 and will be restored on December 1 after the two-day curtailment.
On November 30, the gas will not be available for 24 hours at CNG stations of the same region. Similarly, the company has announced two and one-day load management plan respectively for industry and CNG station of Bahawalpur, Multan, Rawalpindi and other areas of the province on rotational basis, the company official Imtiaz said this while talking to Business Recorder.
He said that the supply of gas to industrial zones of Lahore, Sheikupura and Sahiwal region would be restored on Wednesday (today) while the CNG stations would also be opened on the same day.
He said that the supply was stopped to industry sector due to Eid vacations after consultation with the industry representatives. Meanwhile, the CNG stations of Punjab were remained closed on Tuesday. Imtiaz said that gas load shedding for industrial sector in Faisalabad, Multan, Islamabad, Gujranwala and Bahwalpur will be observed on November 26 to November 28.
He said that gas to the industrial sector of these areas will be stopped at 6 am on November 26 and will be restored on November 28 at 6 am. While CNG stations in Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala will be closed on November 30. In the same way CNG stations of Islamabad and Bahwalpur will be closed on November 27.
Imtiaz also said that company is reviewing the load management plan according to the availability of gas. He also said that duration of gas load shedding will be increased or decreased according to the availability of gas. By giving the example of weather he said that in this week there was less use of gas heaters because of sunny weather, that's why the company has decided a two day gas load management plan for industrial sector instead of three-day load shedding. He said according to the government's policy there priority is domestic sector and they are trying their best to provide uninterrupted gas supply to the domestic users.
