Metro Cash & Carry and P&G joined hands together to conduct a massive hand washing activity on the Global Hand Washing Day at Metro Cash & Carry Pakistan's, wholesale centre premises. P&G co-ordinated approx. 500 children from 4 schools along with parents to attend this mega event which added more color to the already on going celebrations of 3rd Anniversary of Metro Cash & Carry Pakistan.
The objective of the activity was to spread and reinforce health and hygiene messages among children in a memorable and engaging manner. Children were taught about germs and how to wash their hands properly with soap, through the unique animated character of Commander Safeguard. Each student was then given take-home educational material so that they can continue to learn and monitor their hygiene habits with their families. Inter-school drama, skits and speech and drawing competition were also arranged on this occasion.
The children were very enthusiastic about the activity. At the end of the activity Managing Director Metro Cash & Carry Pakistan, Giovanni Soranzo addressed the students and stressed the importance of hygiene. On the occasion were also present Qaisar Shareef, Country Manager P&G and top management of Metro Cash & Carry and P&G.-PR
