Mirza for stringent security measures

Sindh Home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza, has called for stringent security measures in the province for the maintenance of law and order and protecting the lives and property of the people. A statement here on Wednesday said that he had issued directives to the law enforcement agencies to ensure co-ordinated and concrete security steps.
It said the minister allso called for ensuring utmost vigilance. The statement said that Dr Mirza asked the CID, AVCC, Crimes Branch, Special Branch, SIU etc to strengthen co-ordination and liaison for intelligence sharing and pre-empting any untoward incident.
He also called for extraordinary security measures during Muharram and said that a security plan be chalked out. There should be security and vigilance for the sensitive places, mosques, Imambargahs, Madressahs, routes of the mourning processions. The Home Minister also directed that security be ensured for the Mazars in the province.
