Islamabad Police nabbed seven outlaws including three proclaimed offenders who were looting people on gunpoint and recovered stolen items and three pistols from their possession. The detained accused during preliminary investigation confessed their involvement in a number of robberies and dacoities in the areas falling in the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi, Sihala, Koral and Bhara Kahu Police Stations of the Federal Capital, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police on Wednesday.
On the special instructions from DIG Operations Bani Ameen Khan and SSP Tahir Alam Khan, the SP Investigation Tahir Ayub assigned DSP CIA Bashir Ahmad Noon the task to take the outlaws to task, he said. On the tipoff, the special police team conducted a successful raid and arrested seven outlaws who were identified as Nazar Muhammad son of Sayar Muhammad of Bakhshali Mardan, Gul Yousaf son of Safoor Khan of Jaroba, Nowshera, Tahir Iqbal son of Muhammad Rafique Dhanial of Chrah Islamabad, Mursaleen son of Baqar Ali Joya of Taj Sarwar Colony Chishtian Bahawalnagar, Hazrat Ali son of Bachal Gul of Afghan Colony, Faqirabad Peshawar, Kamran Khan son of Sher Khan of Islamabad and Muhammad Naveed son of Muhammaf Farid of Phulra Mansehra.
During investigation, the accused Tahir Iqbal and Mursaleen confessed commission of dacoities in the area of Sihala and Bhara Kahu. Nazir Muhammad was involved in murder of Asghar Khan in the area of Sabzi Mandi Police Station on 20-6-2010 and fled away and was wanted to police in this case registered at Sabzi Mandi vide FIR No 320 dated 20-6-2010 U/S 302-PPC. One pistol 30-bore was recovered from his custody for which a separate case has been registered.
Accused Hazrat Ali, Kamran Khan and Muhammad Naveed broken the Safe of Haq Nawaz Abbasi owner of Modern Jewellers Bhara Kahu and looted the jewellery. These accused have been arrested from Mansehra and are being shifted to Islamabad. Meanwhile, Rescue 15 Islamabad has reunited one missing child and handed over to his parents. One child Habibullah son of Rais Shah aged three years was found by the Falcon Squad of Rescue 15 from G-9 Markaz Islamabad. The Falcon staff shifted the child at Rescue Centre and started the search of his parent.
Police used all available resources to know about whereabouts of the child and succeeded in contacting their parents. SP Industrial Area Islamabad Jamil Hashmi has appreciated the performance of Rescue 15 staff and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for them.
