Adequate arrangements stressed to rehabilitate flood survivors

The Administrator Jamshoro District Samihuddin Siddiqui has asked the officers concerned to ensure adequate arrangements and provide maximum facilities to flood affected families so that their safe return to their native towns and villages could be ensured.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting at his office on Wednesday which reviewed at length the transport arrangements for those flood affected families who now wanted to leave the relief camps and return to their native towns and villages, which earlier affected by the flood.
The meeting which attended by the Executive District Officer Revenue Jamshoro Suhail Adeeb Bachani along with Deputy District Officers Revenue and Education was asked by the Administrator to ensure the transparency in filing the claims from flood affected people to National Database Registration Authority.
He also asked them to contact with concerned officer to resurveyed those areas of the district, which have been affected by the flood but not notified in the list of Nadra so that each flood affected family head could get Watan Cards, which is being granted by the government for their rehabilitation.
The meeting was informed that all out efforts are being made to drain out the stagnant floodwater in various parts of the district so that the people who have taken shelter in the relief camps could return to their towns and villages and restart their routine life.
