High prices of essential goods: APCA observe strike

All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) observed strike on Wednesday to protest against escalating prices of sugar, gas, petrol and other daily items for use. On the occasion, the Association took out a protest rally from Old Anarkali to Punjab Assembly, which was led by its central chairman Saeed Mahmoodul Hassan, and both its central and local leaders.
A large number of government employees participated in the rally. While addressing the rally, the leaders condemned the government for failing to control price hike, the government's lavish spending and widespread corruption. They warned the government to take immediate steps to control inflation and accept the employees' charter of demand; otherwise they will continue with the protest and would not let the rulers to sit the Assemblies.
