Pakistan Village Development Programme (PVDP) in collaboration with UNICEF held a walk and signatures campaign in connection with the World Children's Day in flood survivor's camps at Risalpur and Jalozai. Under the PVDP special children friendly spaces have been established in Jalozai camp for the provision of the opportunities of extra-curricular for the children.
Beside, hundreds of trainee students, teachers, facilitators and monitors a large number of general public also participated in the walk and signatures campaign. During the function, the participants were given presentation on the importance of the commemoration of the World Children's Day. Addressing the Children Co-ordinator, PVDP, Imran Iqbal stressed for getting education for a bright future and successful life, saying that success in any field of life is impossible without education.
He said that the provision of education facility is the right of every child, which requires hard struggle. Speaking on the occasion, Monitor Child Protection Centre, Sangeen Khan told children about the principles of spending healthy life and said that good health is great gift of Allah Almighty for the human beings, whose protection is our duty.-PR
