'Torturing a woman deserve deterrent punishment'

Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Kamran Michael here on Sunday said that those who took the law in their hands by brutally torturing a woman deserve deterrent punishment and should be given exemplary punishment so that women could be saved from violence.
On taking serious notice of a tragic incident of brutally torturing and cutting of hair of an unfortunate woman Saima Barkat Masih of Khanewal by her husband Ayub and step-sons Wazeer and Sunny by Provincial Minister, an FIR has been registered in police station Sadar Khanewal against the accused, as a result of which Ayub has been arrested immediately. Provincial Minister has directed DPO Khanewal Muhammad Waqar Abbasi to leave no stone unturned for bringing the culprits to justice.
