C$ dips as oil falls, investors weigh NAFTA talks

20 Nov, 2017

Oil, one of Canada's major exports, eased as traders were wary of betting too heavily on which way prices might move ahead of next week's meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

US crude was down 0.76 percent at $56.12 a barrel.

Canada and Mexico will not make counterproposals to US demands for tougher NAFTA automotive content rules but instead will offer rebuttals and ask technical questions on Monday, people familiar with the talks said.
