Sindh university officers welfare association meeting approves bylaws, objectives

Sindh university officers have unanimously approved bylaws and aims and objectives for Sindh University Officers Welfare Association in their general body meeting held here on Monday. The meeting was presided over by the president of the association, Haji Bashir Ahmed Shaikh, which was attended by officers from BPS-17 to 20, serving in different capacities in the varsity administration.
The meeting approved Hajj scheme for the officers through fee collection from them and decided that every year, one officer will be sent to Hajj on the expenses of the association. It also approved that rupees200/- will be deducted from the salary of the officers every month in this regard. It decided to deduct rupees50/- every month from the salary of every officer on account of taking care of officers on any emergency. It constituted a committee headed by Muhammad Qasim Maka for filing forms for collection of amount in the fund.
The meeting approved yearly progress of the association and accounts in light of the report presented by General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Kaka. It also approved membership of employees, recently promoted in officer grade-17 and lauded efforts of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Nazir Mughal who, in a short span of time, promoted a number of officers from BPS-17 in higher grades up to BPS-20. It appreciated efforts made by the committee for the preparation of bylaws.
The meeting requested varsity authorities to allot residential plots to the employees of the varsity in the society. It decided that every year an annual dinner will be arranged to provide meeting opportunity to the officers. Earlier, Ghulam Nabi Kaka informed the meeting that for, association has collected rupees41,000/- on account of membership fee and rupees81,000 on account of Hajj, contributed by the officers.
