Punjab chief minister lauded for introducing one-window operation

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce (LCCI) Standing Committee Chairman of Sundar Industrial Estate Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, Sr Vice President LCCI Sheikh Muhammad Arshad and Amjad Ali Jawa appreciated the Punjab Chief Minster for introducing one window operation and reducing the rate of capital value tax (CVT) from fixed 3.6 million to 2 percent at Sundar Industrial Estate.
Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, while addressing a meeting of industrialists said that in the presence of worst socio-economic conditions of the country, the decision of the Punjab Chief Minister would encourage the business community to also continue their business activities at Sundar Estate.
Sundar was the only industrial estate across the country where foundation of new industry was in its peak. The decision, no doubt, come true very soon that Sundar Industrial Estate would be a leading industrial estate in Asia with export oriented units. The latest state of the art set-up would also be a major part of foreign exchange. While using this opportunity, he urged other stakeholders of Sundar to also begin their development works to establish their factories.
Resultantly, industry would grow-up and helpful for creation of new jobs and poverty alleviation. Senior Vice President LCCI Sheikh Muhammad Arshad said that, at present, industry was facing the imposition of RGST, huge raise in the tariff of gas and electricity as well as other raw materials, reduce of CVT to 2 percent would provide relief to business community.
