NH&MP find gold jewellery worth Rs 300,000, return to owner

National Highways & Motorways Police N-5 Central has found a handbag containing gold jewellery and other valuable items worth more than Rs 300,000 on national highways near Sahiwal and returned it to the owner.
According to the details, NH&MP patrolling officers Muhammad Tariq and Liaqat Ali while on routine patrolling duty found a bag. On searching the bag, the officer found a bag carrying gold worth value more than Rs 300,000, books and mobile phone. The NH&MP Officers found mobile number of a person namely Muhammed Imran from a notebook recovered from the bag and communicated.
The person revealed that he was travelling in bus no MLB-2355 to Tuansa Shareef from his sister marriage and completely unaware about missing luggage from bus. On the instructions of DIG, Syed Ibne Hussain bag was checked in the presence of witness, all things in bag like gold jewellery, mobile phones, money and all valuable documents remains present as it. The bag of gold returned to legal heirs after due formalities. In a separate event the NH&MP officers arrested two swindlers namely Zulfiqar Ali and Javed Iqbal from a bus while committing criminal activity.
Meanwhile, In another event the patrolling officers arrested three criminals namely Naseer and Shakeel and also recovered wine from them. The NH&MP patrolling officers Riaz Hussain and Muhammed Younis foiled an attempt of dacoity and saved the trailer laden with cotton bales of worth Rs 7 million.
