The Lahore High Court Chief Justice (CJ) here Monday disposed of suo motu proceedings, initiated against non-payment of salaries to the daily wages employees of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Institute of Cardiology Multan, as Secretary Health informed the court that the pending salaries of the employees has been paid to them.
During the course of hearing, the employees also complained about non-regularisation of their services, however, the CJ did not entertain it observing that the court was (at this time) conducting case against non-payment of salaries only. Earlier, Qamar Zaman had filed an application to the CJ stating that he and other 273 officials were performing duties on daily wages for the last three/four years in the institute. Though all the daily wagers were performing duties regularly, they were not paid salaries for the last three months.
