They further said that forestry sector is pivotal for environmental change, however due to financial constrain, the government has failed in giving due attention to enhance forest cover. "Global warming and climate change are threats to all and the ministry has little resources to face this challenge, however the Ministry of Environment is making all out efforts to provide maximum assistance to the provincial governments for promotion of mega forestry projects.
"Forest management is community-based sector and enhancement of this sector is need of hour for sustainable development", sources said, adding that due to cut in budget, government is not in a position to provide all possible funds for the mega forest projects.
