LCCI to hold agricultural research conference

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold an agricultural research conference in the third week of December wherein all the stakeholders including top-notch agricultural researchers would be invited.
The objective is to find out the solutions of the issues being faced by the farming community. Agricultural Research Conference is aimed at creating harmony among the provinces and the apex agriculture research bodies, including Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
The need to hold such a conference is felt together the federal and provincial scientific community to discuss and formulate the policy decisions, which could contribute in increasing the yield per acre and overall production of food crops and fruits in the country. The scientific community of agriculture and its allied fields is requested to prepare their proposals for this conference for which date and invitation letter will be issued shortly.
The LCCI President Shahzad Ali Malik lauded the efforts being rendered by PARC for the cause of farming community in the country and said the Council was doing a great national service as new varieties and the hybrid seed would not only greatly enhance the efficiency of the plants, but it would also strengthen the farming community that is suffering badly because of low-yield problem.
