Admission process at SSUET reviewed

The ongoing admission process at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) was reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of its Chancellor Z.A. Nizami here on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Syed Nazir Ahmed, Registrar Shah Mahmood Hussain Syed Chairman and Deans of various departments.
The Chancellor was informed that data of admission process was to be finalised by December 1, but it will be delayed by few days because of compilation work and will be finalised during first week of December. This year some 3,800 candidates have applied for admission and of these 3,400 appeared in test and interview and the list of successful candidates is now being compiled.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nazir Ahmed said that issuance of letters for some 1,400 admissions to six disciplines of Computer, Electronics, Bio-Medical, Tele-communication and Civil Engineering and Computer Science will start while classes will commence start from January 10 as scheduled. Chancellor Nizami directed that the process be expedited and completed without any further delay. The Chancellor was informed that 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th semester examinations are going on smoothly. The Chairman and Deans of departments presented reports about their respective departments.
