Chandio Health Centre being upgraded to a small hospital

Director Military Land and Cantonments (DMLC) Karachi region, Khawaja Iftikhar Ahmed Mir and Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) President Brigadier Anis Ahmed in an emergent visit decided to upgrade the health centre of Karachi Cantonment Board in Chandio village as well as convert it into a small hospital. They are also looking forward to the suggestions for building a maternity centre and staff colony for the employees.
It has been suggested that a commercial residential building in block-8 should be built for staff colony. They also decided to rebuild CBC workshop and enforcement cell as well as sale old cars and buy new ones. According to the details, DMLC Karachi region visited CBC medical centre and talked to the patients about the facilities of the medical assistance in CBC. He instructed the staff to look after the patients and also provided medicines on the behalf of CBC.

Khawaja Iftikhar Ahmed Mir said the medical centre of Chandio village Punjab colony would be shifted temporarily to the Fire Brigade Station. He also advised to give disaster management training to the staff to make them professionally perfect. After that he went to Phase-8, for the inspection of the cars where Board President Brigadier Anis Ahmed was told through a briefing that CBC had 210 cars in which there were 69 water supply tankers. During the inspection Brigadier Anis Ahmed Said in his address that firstly our water supply system should be improved.
Giving instruction to the drivers of water supply tankers, he said water supply staff of DHA should follow rules and regulation of CBC and work according to the Cantonment Act now. He also gave strict instructions to the DHA water supply staff regarding water theft and irresponsibility. He announced monthly prize money for the most responsible and honest driver.
