Shanghai copper up

Copper edged higher on Tuesday in volatile dealing that saw prices dip almost 1 percent and then recover, chasing the swings in sentiment in Chinese equity markets which saw their biggest intra-day moves in two weeks on a liquidity squeeze. Shanghai's benchmark third month copper contract rose 220 yuan to 62,530 yuan. In early trade, Shanghai copper touched a high of 62,850 yuan. Shanghai copper ended the month 0.2 percent higher.
