Hard red winter wheat cash bids in the US Plains were mostly steady Thursday with posted bids more numerous. Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City jumped 4 cents a bushel for ordinary and 11.00 percent protein wheat and were up 3 cents for 11.20- and 11.40-pro wheat, and climbed 2 cents for 12.00- through 13.00-pro wheat.
Merchants said there was some increased producer interest in selling remaining bushels as futures prices raced higher. Kansas City Board of Trade March HRW wheat futures ended on Wednesday with the December up 50-3/4 cents at $7.80-3/4 per bushel and the March up 50-1/2 cents at $7.96.
