Price hike of LPG: PML-N submits adjournment motion to National Assembly Secretariat

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday submitted an adjournment motion to the National Assembly Secretariat against the price escalation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) from the PML-N, Ms Nisar Tanveer, Raja Muhammad Asad Khan, Tahira Aurangzeb, Pervez Malik, Shireen Arshad Khan and Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan signed the adjournment motion and submitted to the National Assembly Secretariat.
In the adjournment motion, it was said that the price of LPG has been increased manifold in a few months. On one hand the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and other institutions of the government are sitting as silent spectators on increasing trend in LPG price, while on the other the distribution companies are making increment in price every now and then as they deem fit, the motion added. The motion demanded of the government to discuss this issue in the Lower House for establishing consistent pricing system to control the price of LPG.
