Gold jumped by Rs 489 to close at a record Rs 38,717 per 10 grams in local bullion market on Saturday, as its international price also soared to $1,414 an ounce, market sources said. A leading bullion dealer said that tola (11.664 grams) price also went up by Rs 50 to Rs 45,170. Silver closed higher at Rs 771.42 per 10 grams.
